General who revealed state procurement of inedible rations for $11.3m to be dismissed?« Назад
Lieutenant-General Andrey Nikulishchin, who has been Deputy Head of the Military Prosecutor for the past six years, left the Main Military Prosecutor's Office (GVP). According to two sources of RBC, 55-year-old Nikulishchin will retire on "seniority" in August this year.
Now the First Deputy Military Prosecutor is on vacation, and Lieutenant-General Alexander Devyatko temporarily performs his duties.
The GVP has not yet commented on this information. The Lieutenant General refused to comment on RBC's statement.
The last loud audit of the GVP, initiated by Nikulishchin, was the check of rations for Rosgvardia. It turned out that the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (since 2016 are subordinate to Rosgvardia) received 189.000 rations unsuitable for consumption. The department stated, "food products included in the rations (canned food) do not comply with the requirements of regulatory documents, contains substandard or forbidden to eat ingredients." The contract for the supply of rations was concluded with the company Oboronprodkomplekt in 2015 to the amount of 680 million rubles ($11.3m). The producer of canned food was the enterprise under the control of the Ministry of Defense - Baryshsky meatpacking plant.
In this regard, the GVP sent inspection materials to the Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia with a request to initiate a criminal investigation into fraud.
